What Makes Northmere Worth Choosing

Our value is not in telling you what to do with your paperwork — it is in making sure you understand what you have, where it came from, and how to keep it accessible.

At a Glance

Six things that distinguish how Northmere works from how the same ground is often covered elsewhere.

Scope That Does Not Drift

Every service is defined in writing before it starts. We do not add advice on entitlements, statutory interpretation, or financial matters — and we say so plainly, not as a disclaimer buried in small print.

No Copies Kept After Handover

Once your digitised archive is handed over, Northmere's copies are deleted. This is not a policy aspiration — it is a contractual term in the handling agreement you sign before anything is collected.

Every Source Is Named

Class slides do not say "according to industry practice." They name the specific public document, the issuing body, and the date of publication, so you can read it yourself if you choose.

Fixed Fees in Ringgit Malaysia

RM 490, RM 1,690, and RM 4,400 are the published starting prices. Your written quotation will be within that frame, stated clearly, before any work begins. No mid-engagement additions.

Physical Office, Local Staff

Northmere operates from a fixed address in Ipoh, Perak, with staff who know the region, the administrative culture, and the specific documents that circulate in Malaysian employment contexts.

Stated Turnaround Times

The digitisation service targets ten working days for up to 500 pages. If something affects that timeline, we tell you before collection, not midway through.

Each Benefit, in More Detail

Expertise in Records Education — Not Financial Planning

Northmere's founding team built their knowledge in administrative management and document handling — not in financial planning, legal practice, or regulated advice. That background means the classroom content is accurate about what documents are and how they work as physical records, and it is frank about stopping where that knowledge ends.

  • Twenty years of records management experience in Perak
  • Class content reviewed against current published EPF, SOCSO, and government sources
  • Scope referred to qualified practitioners when appropriate

Straightforward Technology — No Unnecessary Complexity

The digitisation process uses 400 dpi scanning, a consistent naming convention, and an indexed contents list. Files are delivered on an encrypted drive. There is no cloud storage, no subscription, no platform to log in to. The archive is yours, offline, in a format any computer can open.

  • 400 dpi scanning — clear and readable on screen and in print
  • Encrypted drive included in the service price
  • No ongoing fees, no cloud dependency

Service That Replies Within Two Working Days

Enquiries sent by telephone or email receive a response within two working days. Classes run on a published schedule with confirmed dates, not on request with an indefinite waiting period. For the Workplace Practice Review, you receive a written scope and timeline before any engagement work begins.

  • Two-working-day response to all enquiries
  • Published class schedule, not open-ended waitlists
  • Written scope and timeline before any engagement begins

Transparent Fees — Nothing Added Without Agreement

Three services, three published prices, all in Ringgit Malaysia. The Paperwork Primer is RM 490 per participant and includes the printed workbook. Records Digitisation starts at RM 1,690 for up to 500 pages and includes the encrypted drive and printed contents list. The Workplace Practice Review is RM 4,400 for the complete engagement including the six-month follow-up.

What You Can Reasonably Expect as an Outcome

After the Paperwork Primer, participants understand what each common retirement document generally is and have a blank filing index to work from. After the digitisation service, a household's scattered papers exist as a searchable, named, indexed archive on an encrypted drive. After the Workplace Practice Review, an organisation has a written gap report, a trained team, and a template document register — and a follow-up session to confirm the changes have held.

Distinctive Features

Four things Northmere does that are not commonly offered in this space.

The Plain Filing Index

Every Paperwork Primer participant receives a blank filing index — a structured template they can adapt to their own collection of retirement documents, organised by document type and issuing body, with space for dates and notes. This is a practical takeaway, not a brochure.

Signed Handling Agreement Before Collection

No documents leave a client's possession until both parties have signed a handling agreement that sets out what will happen to each document, in what sequence, and at what point Northmere's copies will be deleted. The agreement is not a formality — it is a working document.

Six-Month Follow-Up for Organisations

The Workplace Practice Review includes a follow-up visit at six months — after the new process has had time to be used by staff. That session is where the template register is reviewed, naming conventions are corrected where they have drifted, and any questions that have come up in practice are addressed.

Referral Without Hesitation

When a question arrives that sits outside general education or administrative process — anything about entitlements, statutory obligations, or financial decisions — Northmere refers it clearly and without delay to a qualified professional. This is not a limitation; it is the whole point of having a defined scope.
